Why FIN?
FIN – Funky Interior is a family business, created for the passion and love that we share for vintage design furniture.
We are a tribute to the creativity, love, and inspiration of our late mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother – Jozefine Smeets. She was a true creative force, who instilled in us a passion for beautiful, unique and rare objects.
Jozefine’s creative vision and love of all things beautiful is reflected in our collection of very rare and special mid-century furniture. We search the world for the most unique and special pieces. Each piece in our collection has been carefully selected and curated to bring you the very best in mid-century design.
Our name, FIN – Funky Interior, is a nod to Jozefine’s nickname and reflects our commitment to offering funky, one-of-a-kind furniture that is sure to make a statement in your interior. We believe that your home should be a reflection of your unique personality and style, and our collection is designed to help you achieve that.
We are also proud to incorporate Jozefine’s favorite color – pink – into our logo, as a constant reminder of her creative spirit and vision. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the very best in rare and special mid-century furniture, while honoring the memory of our beloved matriarch.

For our treasure hunt for unique mid-century second-hand pieces, we criss-cross Europe, which is an adventure in itself. Then the renovation process starts; dismantling, cleaning, polishing, sanding, repairing, soldering, re-upholstering, veneering… Intensive work that we carry out with a lot of passion and love, without losing sight of the authenticity and in which we are helped by professionals with ‘golden’ hands.
Restoring beauty, delivering treasures that can shine in a new home, that is our mission.
We believe that every piece of furniture has a story to tell, and we take great care in ensuring that the original character and charm of each piece is preserved. We are committed to restoring these unique and special pieces so that they can be enjoyed for years to come.
