Space Ball Radio & Speakers
Space ball radio & 8 track cassette player, model 2001, with matching speakers, designed by James Pratt Winston for Weltron, US, 1970s.
Weltron’s early product range consisted of guitars and other musical instruments, but Winston soon concluded that the company would be better served with its own bespoke product line. He came up with the idea of a spherically-shaped stereo FM radio/cassette deck that could run on mains and battery power, known as the Model 2001. The model was immediately very successful.
Today these stereos are often featured in movies and TV shows such as Austin Powers International Man of Mystery and That ’70s Show for its iconic space age style. With both AM/FM radio and an 8-track player, they were the first stereos to combine multiple audio units into one boombox.
This is a combination of the ‘Space ball’ radio with the matching speakers – a rarity.
We have revised this set and all functions work perfectly!

Returns
The customer may notify the seller that he renounces his purchase, without payment of a penalty and without giving a reason, within a period of 14 days counting from the day following the day of delivery of the product. This regulation is only valid within the European Union. From this notification, the customer has 10 days to return the product to the seller.
If these deadlines are not met, the customer is deemed to have definitively waived his right of withdrawal. The buyer assumes responsibility for payment of all shipments and any damage the item may incur during such time regardless of the reason for return.
The return to the seller is at the buyer’s expense and will be made to the following address: FIN – Funky Interior – Waversebaan 164 – 3001 Heverlee – Belgium.
Upon lawful exercise by the customer of his right of withdrawal and if the products are still in impeccable condition in their original packaging, the seller will refund the price paid by the customer – excluding delivery costs – to the customer within 30 days of the initial payment.
