An extremely rare design classic that guarantees working in “style,” as the desk is designed to be admired from all sides ; top, front, back, side.

This desk is the largest version of the ‘Action Office’ series.
The desk has a beautiful solid walnut sliding tambour door, which reveals a white laminate writing surface and a large storage space.
The design has four hidden drawers with a walnut front, which can be used to store writing utensils.
The desk rests on a large cast aluminum chrome base, the back of the desk has a beautiful rosewood finish.
This desk has been restored by FIN and is therefore in beautiful condition.
It still has the original key and the original production date (January 24, 1974).
Action Office was the world’s first open office system and was the result of more than three years of research by the Herman Miller Research Corporation led by Robert Propst.
Extensive studies of human behavior in the office, environmental influences on productivity, health and enthusiasm at work led Propst to propose a furniture system that challenged the traditional, hierarchical office organization through an open, less rigidly structured organization.
Desks with a lockable roll top would allow unfinished work to simply be left on the desk in the evening to be picked up the next morning without delay. Action Office, whose design came from George Nelson and his firm, was awarded the Alcoa Industrial Design Award in 1965.
As icing on the cake, the “Action Office” series was used in the movie “A Space Odyssey,” the epic 1968 science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Returns
The customer may notify the seller that he renounces his purchase, without payment of a penalty and without giving a reason, within a period of 14 days counting from the day following the day of delivery of the product. This regulation is only valid within the European Union. From this notification, the customer has 10 days to return the product to the seller.
If these deadlines are not met, the customer is deemed to have definitively waived his right of withdrawal. The buyer assumes responsibility for payment of all shipments and any damage the item may incur during such time regardless of the reason for return.
The return to the seller is at the buyer’s expense and will be made to the following address: FIN – Funky Interior – Waversebaan 164 – 3001 Heverlee – Belgium.
Upon lawful exercise by the customer of his right of withdrawal and if the products are still in impeccable condition in their original packaging, the seller will refund the price paid by the customer – excluding delivery costs – to the customer within 30 days of the initial payment.
