Hans Wegner

Hans Wegner was a Danish furniture designer known for his iconic mid-century modern designs. He was born in 1914 in Tønder, Denmark and started his career as a cabinetmaker before attending the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts, where he later became a professor.

Wegner's designs are characterized by their clean lines, simplicity, and functionality. He was a master of traditional woodworking techniques and often used natural materials such as wood, leather, and woven paper cord.
